The Palms. Before The Palms, it was called the Electric Ballroom and it was originally a movie theater. It sits empty and unloved now. The Ramones, Cheap Trick, R.E.M., The Residents and Husker Du, among many other bands played there.

And of course, there was the now-infamous Plasmatics show in January of 1981 where Wendy O. Williams got beat up by the cops after the show. Milwaukee photographer Al Gartzke took the photo seen around the world of a Milwaukee cop's boot on her head while she was lying in the snow. She was arrested but later aquitted of the "lewd" charges against her. We miss you WOW.
